Frequently asked questions about carpet cleaning by Blue Jet Cleaning Services.

Q1. What is the preferred method and best cleaning: Steam or Dry Cleaning?
A. Steam cleaning is the only way to thoroughly clean your carpets. Dry cleaning is good if you want to refresh your carpets and is best only on lightly soiled carpets. Blue Jet Cleaning Services trained cleaners will assess your carpet before they start the job.

Q2. Do you move the furniture?
A. We can help you to move any light furniture. We do require that you remove all electrical and any breakables. Any furniture that is to heavy and difficult to move the cleaner will work around it.

Q3. How soon can I walk on the carpet?
A. You can walk on the carpet immediately after cleaning by wearing either socks or clean shoes. Wait at least 24 hours before removing any protective shield under your furniture.

Q4. How long does it take for my carpets to dry after being cleaned?
A. Some carpets may still feel slightly damp for up to 8 hours after steam cleaning, depending on the fibre type and soiling conditions. This is normal and will not cause any problems. Always open the windows to get the fresh air in to help the carpets dry.

Q5. Can you remove stains?
A. Our cleaners have a stain treatment with them. We can remove most stains but there are stains that we can not completely remove.

Q6. My Carpet has bleached or faded spots. Can you correct that?
A. If you have bleached or faded spots on your carpets you will need to get those areas re-dyed or you may have to replace that section of carpet.

Q7. Do you recommend Carpet Protection after cleaning?
A. Carpet protector is strongly recommended as it can prevent many permanent stains, assist in resisting traffic area damage and make future cleaning more effective. Regular foot traffic removes most of the factory protector from your carpets. Leaving your carpets unprotected could allow permanent stains, premature wear and cause a lower appearance level.

Q8. How often should I clean my carpets?
A. Specialists state that carpets should be professionally cleaned 2 times per year.

Q9. Can your cleaning agents be harmful. Especially to babies?
A. We use environmentally friendly products.

Q10. Will I be charged a cancellation fee if I cancel my booking?
A. When a Technician attends a job that has been booked and for some unforeseen circumstance the client cancels, 10% of the quoted amount will be payable to the Technician upon arrival of site unless the client has given (24) hours notice from the time of the booking applicable, then there will be no charge.

Q11. Is your work guaranteed?
A. Blue Jet Cleaning Services guarantees to provide a service that you will be completely satisfied with. If you are not satisfied with our service call us within 24 hours and we will revisit your home and correct any reasonable problem.

Q12. How is payment made?
A. We offer you a range of convenient payment options.
